This Indenture made this February 7th A.D. 1876 Between William A. Begole,
the President and D. W. Briant, J. M. Boyd, Patk O'Neill and Mich Keating
Trustees of the City of San Diego, in the County of San Diego, State of
California, parties of the first part and J.
S. Mannasse party of the second part, Witnesseth; That whereas the
President and Trustees aforesaid, did heretofore, to wit July
7th 1873, purchase from said party of the second part the lands hereinafter
described for the use and purposes of Cemetery grounds, and whereas
said lands have proved impractical for such purposes from excavations
had therein, and whereas said party of the second
part in consideration of the foregoing facts has conveyed to said parties
of the first part another and suitable tract of land in place of the first
and following described real estate.
Now therefore in consideration of the foregoing facts, the President and
Trustees aforesaid do hereby grant, bargain, sell and reconvey to said
party of the second part, all that identical property conveyed them by
said Mannasse
per deed of July 7th 1873 and recorded in Book Twenty
One of Deeds of San Diego County page 264 et Seg, to wit, that real
property situate in the City of San Diego, County of San Diego, State
of California, bounded as follows: Beginning at a point 37.1 chains North
of South West corner of Pueblo Lot B of Pascoes Official Survey of the
Pueblo of San Diego said point being the North East corner of a tract
of land lying West of and adjoining Pueblo Lot "B" and owned
by J.
S. Mannasse, as surveyed by M. G. Wheeler County Surveyor thence South
seven hundred and sixty nine (769) Seven tenths feet to a Stake; thence
West Five hundred seventy four (574) three tenths feet to a Stake thence
North (1) one degree East seven hundred and seventy (770) feet t a Stake.
thence East five hundred and fifty seven (557) seven tenths feet to point
of beginning containing ten acres as surveyed by L. L. Lockling City Surveyor
July AD 1873.
In testimony whereof, the President and
Trustees aforesaid have hereunto set their hands and corporate seal the
day and year first herein above written.

Geo. N. Hitchcock a Notary Public for San Diego County personally appeared
W. A Begole President and Patrick O'Neill, John M. Boyd, D. W. Briant, and
Michael Keating Trustees of the Board of Trustees of the City of San Diego,
known to me to be the identical persons & officers whose name are subscribed
to the foregoing deed and they each seperately acknowledged to me that they
as such persons and officers respectively executed the same.
