	2. Elsie Louise Straley (b. Apr 3, 1920; d. Jan 16, 2007; m. Edmund Earl Durham) Children: Reba Ann Durham (b. Jun 24, 1940; m. Norberto ARROYO) Tom Dean Durham (b. Sep 5, 1947; m1. Susan SIMPSON; m2. Tina MONTABON) James Britton Durham "Jim" (b. Sep 20, 1962; m. Darleen J. PEPERAK) Notes: Elsie was my dear Mom. She lived most of her life in Callahan Co, TX. She graduated from Oplin High School, then attended college two years at Abilene Christian College. There she met E. Earl Durham and they were married.  They built a house in Callahan Co, TX (on an existing foundation) near her parent's ranch.  After her and Earl divorced, Elsie, with young Jim in tow, moved to El Paso, TX to live with her daughter, Reba Arroyo.  In 1976, she and Jim returned to Callahan county, moving back into the same old house (after running off the coons and rattlesnakes) and there they lived many more years. Later in life she moved to Camp Hill, PA to be near her sons, Tom, in New Jersey, and Jim.   Elsie's obituary.
	3. Charley Tom Straley (b. Jul 11, 1923; d. Jan 1, 2002; m. Peggy Eugena SANSOM) Children: John Dean Straley (b. Jan 9, 1956; m1. Laura BERNSTEIN; m2. Mary) Kim Elaine Straley (b. Jun ?, 1958; m. Brian FARMER) Notes: C. T. and his father, Charley Straley, operated "Straley and Straley" ranch for many years. When Charley passed away, John became the second "Straley".  They raised premium beef cattle, market cattle and wheat.  They also bailed hay for feed.  Winters were spent feeding, deer hunting and working with show calves and hogs. I worked for C.T. for many years. His son John and I worked their farm and ranch from 1975 until 1984.  I was their full-time employee summers and during school breaks.  John was like a brother to me.  The list of stock show wins for John and Kim through the years in Callahan County is impressive.  As youngsters, John and Kim showed sheep. In high school, their specialty was cattle.  They also regularly attend shock shows in Abilene, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio.  When I was big enough to show animals, John and I tackled hogs.  John's support was instrumental in my winning Grand Champion Hog at the Callahan County stock show in 1980.

Lollie and Charley ("Nanny and Dady Straley" to their grandchildren) were life-long farm and ranchers in Callahan County, Texas. Charley's bio is found here!
