Clay and Dickinson Counties of Kansas
Our Pioneer Heritage

This page is dedicated to the pioneer families who lived in Clay and Dickinson counties of Kansas. My own interest is in southern Clay and northern Dickinson, especially the townships of Athelstane, Gill, and Republican in Clay, and Cheever and Sherman townships in Dickinson. However, this page will include information for all of both Clay and Dickinson. I plan on inventorying more cemeteries, and will also have census and vital records databases in the near future. If you have any data or pictures to contribute, please email me and I will put it on this page.

If you have any questions, please email me, Sheryl McClure, at:

Notice! This page will no longer be updated, but my separate "American History and Genealogy
Project" pages for Clay and Dickinson counties are updated often, so please bookmark these sites.

This search engine is nice, but it doesn't have a Soundex feature-try variant spellings if you don't find a name on the first search.

Please bookmark this site--I will will adding data often!
