MY HODGSON FAMILY

Athur Hodgson (left) was my Grandfather from my father's side of the family. We don't know a great deal about him as he and my Grandmother, Agnes Ruth Graham Walker separated when their children were only small. Arthur by all accounts met another female close by, then left my Grandmother and went to live in the next street. We don't know who the female was or if they ever married but they did have a children and they would be my late father's half brothers and sisters
We do know that after my Grandmother's father, Ezekiel Walker died in 1916 the family was split and my grandmother was sent to live with an Aunt in Keighley and we think this is how the Arthur and Agnes met. The couple were married in the Alice Street Primitive Methodist Chapel in Keighley on 31st of January 1925 and their respective occupations were given as labourer at the construction works for Arthur and worsted
drawer for Agnes.
Left is a picture of Leslie Hodgson, my late father at aprox the same age as when the photo of Arthur Hodgson was taken.

Arthur's father was given as Alfred Hodgson, tool smith and Agnes's father Ezekiel Walker, mariner. Arthur is pictured above left in his uniform and served in the East Yorkshire Regiment during the early 1900s. Arthur's parents were Alfred Hodgson and Clara Hodgson (nee Scott) (pictured right)
Arthur was born 1900 had 9 brothers and sisters.
