Here are some of the photos from Stage 1:

In this photo you can see the flags placed beside each stone, also note some of the equipment that I was using.

This photo shows a stone that is to large for us to stand up, it has sunk quite a ways.

As you can see in this photo, the stones are impossible to see without the flags. My grandpa would wade around looking for the stones, and when he found them would place a flag beside them, so hopefully I wouldn't hit them with my weed whacker.

But we have begun to make some progress.

Notice how the round stone is sunk.

And finally, into the second day, we notice this stone. It wasn't until several stages later that we figure out, this is the only one that we found standing.

And then we found the grave of my grandpa's grandpa.

Stage 2:

We finally found another willing worker.

As you can see here, some progress has been made as we have at least uprighted some of the stones.

Finally a cemetery is beginning to emerge from the jungle.

In case you were wondering, those stones are HEAVY!! Please note that we have been using hand tools because most of the trees have LARGE thorns.

Stage 3:

It still might not look like much, but we are starting brush piles to be burned later. Note that we have uprighted and leveled most of the stones by this point.

In case you were wondering, we have more than one brush pile.
