The State of Arkansas, County of Conway
Estate of James REED, deceased
Know all men by these presents, that we W.W. REED are held and firmly bound unto the State of Arkansas in the just and penal sum of eight hundred dollars, lawful money of the United States, for the payment whereof, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators firmly by these presents. Witness our hands and seals at this 23rd day of June A.D. 1887.
The condition of the above obligation is such, that if the above bounded W.W. REED administrator of and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits of James REED deceased, shall make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits of the deceased, which have or may come to the hands, possession or knowledge of him the said W.W. REED administrator or into the hands or possession of any other person for him, and the same, so made shall return and exhibit in the office of the Clerk of the Probate Court of the County of Conway, within sixty days from the date of the above obligation; and all and singular the goods and chattels rights and credits of the deceased, which shall come to the hands, possession or knowledge of him the said W.W. REED shall well and truly administer, according to law, and pay the debts of the deceased, as far as the assets will extend and the law directs; and further, make or cause to be made, just and true accounts of his administration, and make due and proper settlement thereof, from time to time, according to law, or the lawful order, sentence or decree of any Court having competent jurisdiction; and shall, moreover, well and truly do and perform all other matters and things touching such administration, that are or may be prescribed by law, or enjoined on such administrator by the lawful order, sentence or decree of any Court having competent jurisdiction, then the above obligation to be void and of no affect; otherwise,to remain in full force and virtue.

Letters of Administration
The State of Arkansas, County of Conway. To all Persons to whom these Presents shall Come--Greeting: Know Ye, that, whereas, James REED late of the County of Conway and State aforesaid, died intestate, as it is said, on or about the 3rd day of April A.D. 1887 having at the time of his death, property in this State, which may be lost, destroyed or diminished in value, if speedy are be not taken of the same. To the end, therefore that said property may be collected, preserved and disposed of according to law, I do hereby appoint W.W. REED administrator of all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits, which were of the said James REED at the time of his death, with full power and authority to secure and dispose of said property according to law, and collect all moneys due said deceased, and, in general, to do and perform all other acts and things which are, or hereafter may be, required of him by law.
In testimony whereof, I C.E. HAWKINS Clerk of the Probate Court, in and for the County of Conway aforesaid, have hereunto signed my name and affixed the seal of said Court, at office, this 23rd day of June A.D. 1887.
