pg 166) In the name of God Amen, the fifth day of Jan 1720
I William BARBEE of the County of Middlesex being ill & weak in body but of sound and composed mind I set in writing and do make & publish and make this my last will and testament ___ ___ following that is to say I first commend my immortal soul into the hands of Almighty God, my body to the earth to be decently buried as my ___ ___ shall think ___ and singular my worldly goods I give & bequeath as follows Viz,
In primus I give ___ and bequeath all my plantation ___ is ___ whatsoever lying in Middlesex County in Virginia unto my son Wm BARBEE
Item, I give and bequeath to my son William BARBEE one shilling sterling
Item, I give and bequeath to my son John BARBEE one shilling sterling
Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann MORGAN one shilling sterling
Item, As for the remaining part of my estate of ___ and or quality whatsoever I will ___ after all my just debts are paid and the charges of funeral defrayed that it be equally divided amongst my children which God has blessed me with by my last wife.
Lastly I appoint and ___ ___ ___ George HARDEN, William BLACKBORNE ___ of this my last will & testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this day & year above written.
