Emily Stines-Dwyer born November 18, 1919 in
Springfield AR moved to San Antonio TX about 1927.
Married the late Fred E. Stines in 1942. They moved
to CA in 1946. They were in the upholstery business
until 1957. From 1957 to 1973 they owned and operated
6 taverns in the Long Beach, Bellflower area. During
this time she was a member of the Long Beach jaycees,
the American Legion, the Moose Lodge and the Elks. She
was employed by Marge Carson Furniture in Rosemead from
1976 to 1983. Married to Edward Dwyer in 1980. They
retired to San Antonio in 1983. Stricken with cancer
in late 1987. She returned to CA in May 1990 after a
long hospital stay. She passed away June 2, 1990 in
Riverside CA. She is survived by her husband, Edward
S. Dwyer of San Antonio; daughter, Linda L. Snyder; son,
Fred E. Stines; 3 grandsons, Chip and Kevin Snyder and
Fred E. Stines III all of Riverside; 3 sisters, Edith
Jackson, Donna Fischer and Mary Harrison of TX;
1 brother, Gordon Wilson of AZ; son-in-law Dwayne
Snyder; and daughter-in-law Beth Stines of Riverside.
Also many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, family
requests a donation to the Riverside Hospice or the
American Cancer Society. Services to be held Wednesday
June 6, 11:30 a.m. Memorial Chapel, Rose Hills Memorial
Park, Whittier. Rose Hills Mortuary Directing.
