Charley Pearson, 74, of Plumerville died Friday,
Oct. 31, 2003. He was born May 31, 1929, near Bee
Branch, a son of W.R. Pearson and Charity Gordon
Pearson. Mr. Pearson was a Korean War Navy veteran,
receiving medals for Korean Service, United Nations,
China Service, Navy Occupation, National Defense,
and a Good Conduct Medal. He was a diesel engine
salesman, a shop foreman for C.C. Jones Trucking
in Plumerville, and a member of the Harding Street
Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Marlene
Morrow Pearson; two sons, Donald Pearson of Center
Ridge and Scott Pearson of Gallatin, Tenn; one
daughter, Sharon Heffington of Morrilton; three
brothers, Reedy Pearson of Dinuba, Calif., Rufus
Pearson of Anton, Texas, and Hubert Pearson of
Watseka, Ill.; five grandchildren, and four
great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 2 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 3, at Harris Chapel with Mr. Charles
Bane and Mr. Larry Bane officiating. Burial was at
Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were Ronald Dale Pearson, Steve Dixon,
Erin Heffington, Dex Barclay, Michael Heffington,
and James Maxwell.
