Gladys Marie Patterson, 87, a Harrison resident for
over 60 years, died Sunday, Sep 8, 2002 at Newton County
Nursing Home. A private graveside service was held at
Maplewood Cemetery. Donations in her honor may be made
to the Newton County Nursing Home, P.O. Box 442, Jasper,
Ark 72641. The daughter of Nancy & Willie Gordon was born
Oct 24, 1914 near Bee Branch, one of six daughters. She
was married to Carroll Patterson in 1937 and they moved
to Harrison shortly after. She was preceded in death by
her five sisters & her husband, Carroll. She is survived
by a son, Gordon & his wife, Linda of Harrison; a
granddaughter, Jennifer of New Orleans, LA and a
granddaughter, Sarah of Columbia, MO.
