John Amos Huett, 83, of Birdtown died at a Morrilton
hospital Friday, June 26. He was born at Birdtown,
August 2, 1886, a son of the late David Wesley Huett
and Lottie Williams-Huett. He was a member of the
Pleasant Springs Baptist Church and a retired farmer
and merchant. Survivors include two brothers, Jim Walter
Huett of Birdtown and J.C. Huett of Morrilton; and two
sisters, Mrs. Iva Williams of Birdtown and Mrs. Beulah
McClaren of Little Rock. Funeral services were at 2 p.m.
Monday at the Pleasant Springs Baptist Church at Birdtown
by Elder Earl Smith. Burial was in Kilgore Cemetery by
Harris Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Jim Hays Huett,
Gene Huett, Henry Huett, Clyde Ruff, Dr. J.O. Tipps and Ray Huckaby.
