Mrs. Emma Huett, 78, of Birdtown, died at a
Morrilton hospital, Sunday, May 14th. She was
born at Center Ridge, July 29, 1888, a daughter
of the late Alex Gordon and Melvina Reed-Gordon.
She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John A. Huett of Birdtown;
two brothers, John Gordon of Lonoke and Elmer Gordon of
Birdtown and three sisters, Mrs. Sreathie Huett and Mrs.
Narsis Bird of Morrilton and Mrs. Allie VonOhlen of Llano
Tex. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the
Pleasant Springs Baptist Church by Elder Earl Smith and
Elder Ballard. Burial was at Kilgore Cemetery by Harris
Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Fred Gordon, Carl D.
Gordon, Milburn Adams, Roy Lane Bird, Louis Huett, Jim
Hayes Huett, Everett Huett and Clyde Ruff.
