Lt. Col. Othello "Peck" Gordon, 94, of Solgohachia died May 30, 2003.
He was born September 30, 1908, in Solgohachia, Arkansas,
a son of the late Paul and Cora Bell Atkinson Gordon. Mr.
Gordon was the widower of Sarah Stanford Gordon, a retired
inspector for Arkansas Pollution and Ecology Commission,
a formal rural mail carrier, and retired from the Arkansas
National Guard. He was also a 32nd degree Mason, a member
of First United Methodist Church and a World War II Army
veteran. Survivors include his son and wife, John and Sheila
Gordon of Solgohachia; daughter, Susan Gordon of Conway;
sister, Lena Horton of Plumerville; and grandson and wife,
Scott and Crystal Gordon of Houston, Texas. Memorials may
be made to the First United Methodist Church or the National
Wild Turkey Federation. There will be no services.
