Mrs Lela Etta Gordon, 69, Enterprise, buried Wednesday
in the Enterprise Cemetery following last rites at the
Methodist Church by Rev Wallace Mangum, pastor, assisted
by Revs Frank Rush, Enterprise Baptist and Deb Lee Stennis,
New Hope Baptist. Death occurred Tuesday at her home.
Pallbearers: Carvell George, J.J. Smiley, W.E. Bass, W.K.
James, Robert Kamper, John W. Brown, L.T. Davis, R.S.
Baskett Sr. Honorary: friends of the family. Survivors:
husband, C.E. Gordon Sr; three sons, Eugene and Harold
Gordon, Enterprise; Orville Gordon, Collins; two sisters,
Mesdames W.W. Buckley Sr and R.L. Ward, Enterprise; two
brothers, E.H. Nutt, New Orleans; Joe Nutt, Meridian; four
grandchildren; a group of nieces and nephews.
