Elmer A. Gordon, 83, of Springfield died Wednesday
August 13 at a Morrilton hospital. He was born at
Center Ridge on April 18, 1892. He was a retired farmer
and carpenter. He was a member of the Pleasant Springs
Missionary Baptist Church where he served as deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ollie Meeler-Gordon; one
son, Carl Gordon of North Little Rock; one daughter, Mr.
Pauline Combs of Little Rock; one sister, Mrs. Sreathie
Huett of Morrilton; three grandchildren and four great
grandchildren. Funeral services were Friday at 2 p.m. at
the Pleasant Springs Baptist Church by Elder Earl Smith
and Elder Jerrell Harrison. Burial was at Kilgore Cemetery
by Harris Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Jeff Williams, J.D.
Barnum, Elmer Carroll, Leon Kellar, Royce Williams and Sam Harrington.
