Alex M. Gordon, 89, of Quitman, Rt. 3, passed away at his
family residence 8 Oct, at 6 AM, from a heart attack;
funeral services held 9 Oct at 10 AM at Walters Funeral
Home chapel; Revs. W.D. Pigott and Owen R. Smith
officiating; interment in Pachuta Cemetery; survivors
wife, Mrs. Mamie Thornton-Gordon; one son,
Mark D. Gordon, Pachuta; two grandsons and several
nieces and nephews; active pallbearers - T.A. Atwood,
Jack G. Gunn, Willie Sanders, Havis Sartor, H.T.
Harwell, Lewis Lightsey; honorary pallbearers - Emerson
Harwell, T.W. Lewis, K.L. Jordon, Coleman Campbell,
Matt Eddins, Sr., and O.M. Sartor.
