James French, 81, of Morrilton died July 21, 2004.
He was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Damascus, a son of Arthur
Richard French and Neva Harper French. He was a retired
cattle rancher and the widower of Imogene Bird French.
Survivors include his son, Ken French of Morrilton; four
daughters, Gwen Massingill of Morrilton, Margaret Canant
of Birdtown, Cindy Gray of Conway, and Sue Edwards of
Houston, Texas; brothers, Jim French of Bull Shoals and
Ted French of Charleston, S.C.; sister, Doris Underwood
of Heber Springs; nine grandchildren and seven great-
grandchildren. Graveside services were 4 p.m. Friday,
July 23, at Kilgore Cemetery with Bro. Leon Hill officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Kilgore Cemetery Fund, No. 1
Leman Jones Rd., Springfield, AR 72157. Arrangements were by
Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Pallbearers were his grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers were Tracy Drake and Kala McKirch.
