Donna Wilson-Fischer, age 85, went home to be with our Lord,
October 3, 2006. Born on September 4, 1921 to Jessie and Allie
Wilson in St. Louis, MO. Mrs. Fischer married Dayton Henry
Fischer Nov 5th 1966. Through many happy years together, they especially enjoyed hunting and fishing together. Following her husband's death in 1990, Mrs. Fischer moved to San Antonio Texas.
When her health declined she moved to a nursing home in Austin,
Texas to be near her son. Mrs. Fischer, beloved mother, sister,
and compassionate friend leaves behind to cherish her memory,
her three children: Beverly McCormick, husband, Art of Glen
Carbon IL; Sharon Smith of McQueeney, TX; Stephen Smith, wife
Belinda of Austin, TX.; nine grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Sisters Mrs. Cecil (Mary) Harrison of
San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Edith Jackson of Fairfield TX; brother
Gordon, wife Betty Wilson of Mesa, Arizona. Preceding her in
death, are her husband, parents, and two sisters, Mrs. Emily Stines
and Wilma Wilson. Mrs. Fischer favorite scripture was the 23rd
Psalm. She also loved the beauty of flowers and treasured drives through the hill country to admire the bluebonnets. A celebration
of life will be held Saturday October 7th 11:00 a.m. at First Evangelical Free Church, 4220 Monterey Oaks Blvd, Austin, Texas.
Mrs. Fischer's desire was to donate her body to the University of
Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be
made to the charity of your choice.
