Mrs. Nancy Ann Deaton, aged 76, died at her home
at 310 North St. Joe Street last Thursday at 12:25 p.m.
She was born at Center Ridge May 2, 1875, a daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Gordon. She was a member of
the Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by
her husband W.R. Deaton of the home; one son, Alex Deaton
of Morrilton; one daughter Mrs Julia Evans of LeGrand Calif;
five sisters, Mrs. Emma Huett and Mrs. Narsis Bird of Birdtown,
Mrs. Syretha Huett of England, Mrs. Cindy Scroggins of Nowata
Okla. and Mrs. Allie VonOhlen of Illinois; and two brothers,
Elmer Gordon of Birdtown and John Gordon of England; 11
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services
were held at the Kilgore Cemetery Sunday at 2:30p.m. Burial
was in charge of Reid Funeral Home.
