Ralph Edward Armstrong was born on Tuesday, February 14, 1928
in Red Springs, Texas to Jessie Edward and Vela Jane (Taylor)
Armstrong. He passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 in
Calera, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, 3 days. Ralph married
Mattie Marie Manners January 11, 1954 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Ralph was a member of the Red River C.B. club and also in
archery clubs, He was a wonderful man, always there to lend
a hand when needed especially to his grandkids and kids. Ralph
loved to fish and hunt. His smile and laughter will be missed
greatly. He meant the world to his kids and grandkids and
everyone who knew him. Losing him was like losing a part of
ourselves. God bless you daddy and grandpa you will be greatly
missed. We love you so much. His Survivors include, Sons Ralph
Armstrong, Sr. and wife Trish of Durant, Oklahoma, Richard
Armstrong and wife Rhonda of Durant, Oklahoma. Daughters,
Linda Posey of Durant, Oklahoma, Judy Robertson of Calera,
Oklahoma Teresa Crank and husband Herby of Durant, Oklahoma.
Adopted Son, Brad Creason of Durant, Oklahoma. Brothers, Dean
Armstrong of Durant, Oklahoma, Gene Armstrong and wife LaVonne
of Arveda, Colorado, Cecil Armstrong of Graham, Texas. Sister,
Virginia Morse of Durant, Oklahoma Sister-In-Law, Alda Armstrong
of Houston, Texas. 19 Grandchildren 28 Great Grandchildren. Mr.
Armstrong was preceded in death by his parents; Wife, Mattie
Marie Armstrong; Daughters, Edna Davis, Paula Jean Chandler;
Grandson, Thomas Darton; Great-Grandsons, Dylan Romero, Ryan
Ervin, Jordon Abbott; Adopted Daughter, Wanda Evans; 4 Brothers,
2 Sisters and 3 Son-In-Laws. Services will be Thursday, February
19, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. Graveside Mead Cemetery Interment will be
at the Mead cemetery in Mead, Oklahoma. Officiating the service
will be Rev. James Bollin. Pallbearers will be Tony Ervin, Gary
Reynold, William Stelle Brad Creason, James Reynolds, Charles Roten.
