2. John born Nov 1, 1850 Bradley Co TN, died Aug 22, 1929 Dallas Co AR & buried at Miller Cemetery.
Married: Rosanna Knight Nov 7, 1872. She was born Nov 1, 1858, died Apr 2, 1930 Dallas Co AR & buried at Miller Cemetery.
Children: William Albert, Ellen Fratila, Nancy, Cora Ella, Martha Florence, James Jefferson, Elijah Edward, Manerva Roseanna, Sular Etta, Lena Jane & an infant that died at birth.
3. Mark born Mar 1853 Bradley Co TN, died Sep 1927 Cleburne Co AR & buried at Antioch Cemetery.
Married: Serena Foust about 1872. She is the daughter of James Ellison Foust & Harriett Knight & was born Mar 22, 1854, died Feb 18, 1926 Cleburne Co AR & buried at Antioch Cemetery.
Children: James Elison, Nancy Manerva, Malviana A., Ellen, Frank, Willie E., Harriet, Mitchel, Martha Jane, Levi & Zellar.
4. Mary Ann born July 1852 Bradley Co TN, died about 1906 AR & buried at Halbrook Cemetery in Conway Co AR.
Married: Arthur Epperson Aug 28, 1873 AR. He was born about 1831 TN, died Jan 10, 1930 AR & buried at Halbrook Cemetery in Conway County.
Children: Joe, Minnie, Mitchell, Sarah & Tom.
5. Martha born 1856 Ida, Cleburne Co AR, died 1856 Ida, Cleburne Co AR.
6. Samuel born 1857 TN.
7. Nancy born 1861 Ida, Cleburne Co AR, died year unknown.

Their real estate is valued at $1500 and personal property valued at $450. All were born in Tennessee. (pg 447a, #721)
3. Sep 10, 1861 Mitchell Reed enlisted in the 8th AR Infantry, Company C, C.S.A. at Camp Price, Jacksonport AR. (M. Reed military record)
4. 1862 Mitchell Reed died in the hospital in Tupelo MS & had been absent for several company muster roll calls due to illness. (M. Reed military record)
5. Jul 21, 1870 Van Buren Co AR census shows Manerva age 44, John age 18, Mark age 16, Mary age 14 & Nancy age 10 on their farm in Peter Creek township, P.O. Clinton with real estate valued at $250 and personal property valued at $180. It is noted that Manerva is a widow. (pg 48a, #21)
6. June 17, 1880 Cleburne Co AR census record shows Jefferson Glenn age 25, Nancy age 19, his brother Green age 20 & mother Luisa on their farm in Peter Creek township. (pg 403, #221)
7. May 10, 1910 Cleburne Co AR census record shows John Reed age 59, Rosanna D. age 51 & children age Elijah age 21, Sular age 16 & Lena age 14 on their farm in Peter Creek township. It is noted that they had been married 36 years, had 11 children with 9 living. (pg 63a, #177)
8. John Reed was a big man with deep blue eyes and soft brown hair. (book, Founding Families of Ida, AR by Erleene Fletcher, 1998)
9. It is believed that Mitchell's father was Samuel Reed. Research on this is still in progress.
