3. June 7, 1880 Conway Co AR census record shows Melvina age 22 married to Alexander B. Gordon. They have 2 children, Nancy Ann & Jane. Melvina cannot read or write. Her sister Martha is also living with them. (pg 345b, #94)
4. June 16, 1900 Conway Co AR census record shows Alexander Gordon age 44, Melvina age 44, Lucinda, John, Emma, Elmer, Rosa & Sreathie. They had been married for 26yrs, had 11 children with 8 living. (pg 127b, #186)
5. Feb 1, 1910 Alexander B. Gordon died & was buried at Kilgore Cemetery.
6. Apr 18, 1910 Conway Co AR census record shows Melvina Gordon, age 54 & awidow, Elmer, Rosa, Sreathie & Allie. James C. Crabtree is also living with them and is a boarder. She had 12 children with 9 living (pg 136b, #44)
7. Jan 8, 1920 Conway Co AR census record shows Melvina age 66 living with her son Elmer & grand-daughter Selma Harrington. (pg 27a, line 44)
8. Dec 9, 1925 Melvina died & was buried at Kilgore Cemetery. The birth year on her gravestone is not correct. It should be 1855.
9. There is no death certificate on file for Melvina Reed-Gordon. (AR Dept of Health - Div of Vital Records)
10. Alexander B. Gordon & Melvina Reed-Gordon are my great grandparents.
