11. June 1880 Mississippi Co MO census record shows Cheatham Lynn age 70, Rosetta age 65 & Lucy Belle age 15 on their farm in St. James township. (pg 355b, line 208)
12. Oct 21, 1882 divorce papers filed in court - Cheatham Lynn vs Rosetta Lynn. Cheatham stated that Rosetta accused him of being unfaithful, constantly quarreled with him & that she treated his children by his first wife with contempt & insults.
13. Charleston Weekly Enterprise (MO newspaper) Sep 1882 - "DROPPED DEAD - On Thursday evening last Mrs Rosa Lynn, wife of Uncle Cheat Lynn, dropped dead while attending to her household duties. She was as well, apparently, as usual having complained none during the day. An inquest was held on the body and the Coroner's jury pronounced it heart disease. She was an elder lady. "Uncle Cheat", her husband is laying sick in this city at the residence of Dr. T.L. Patterson and was much surprised to hear the sad news."
