The Revolutionary Soldiers of Catholic Presbyterian Church
Chester County, South Carolina
Pages 79-82

by Mary Wylie Strange (Mrs R.M. Strange)
Historian of the Catholic Memorial Association
1946, reprinted 1978 York-Clover Printing Company

Note: In 1933 the Catholic Memorial Association unveiled a stone memorial with the engraved names of the revolutionary war soldiers who were members of the Catholic Presbyterian Church. The Rev. War record of the John Lee mentioned in page below is not our John Lee. There was another John Lee in the same county and in the 1930's the Association mistakenly used his military record as proof to include John Lee's name engraved on the church memorial stone. Our John Lee did served in the Revolutionary War but we have not been able to locate his revolutionary war military record. We only have the audit documents from his service in the revolutionary war. There were 62 members from the church who served as soldiers in the war.
The last paragraph that is yellow highlighted is our John Lee.
