Marlin Black, son of Jonathan Wiley Fletcher & Margaret Abigail Daughtery, was born Nov 18, 1897 Fayette Co TN, died Sep 14, 1924 Fayette Co TN & buried at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Religion: Member of Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church.
Cause of Death: Tuberculosis.
Married: Emma Alice Stephens Jan 17, 1922 Hardeman Co TN. She is the daughter of William Stephens and Dora Doyle & was born Jan 14, 1907 TN, died July 27, 1996 Jackson, Madison Co TN & buried at Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Clay Co AR. After Marlin died Emma married Monroe Glover & divorced him. She then married William Clyde Ross and after his death married Dencil Kilbreath "Dink".

2. 1910 Fayette Co TN census record shows Marlin Fletcher age 12 living with his parents & siblings on their farm in District 15. (pg 110, #26)
3. Sep 12, 1918 WWI Draft Registration Card shows Marlin Fletcher to be of medium height, medium build, gray eyes & light hair. Document shows his middle name is Blake.
4. Jan 9, 1920 Fayette Co TN census record shows Marlin Fletcher age 23 living with his parents & siblings on their farm in District 14 on the Bolivar-Macon Road. (pg 246b, #19)
5. Jan 17, 1922 Marlin B. Fletcher married Emma Alice Stephens in Hardeman Co TN.
6. Sep 1924 - Marlin Black Fletcher died at the age of 26yrs, 9mo, 27 days due to tuberculosis. (Obituary, Fayette Falcon newspaper)
