2. July 15 1870 Green Co KY census record shows Eli McCutchin? age 72, Susana age 37, Mary Dobson age 48, John H. age 19, Wm. H. age 17, Peter age 14 & Eli age 12 on their farm in Lower Brush Creek Precinct, P.O. Greenburg. Eli McCutchin & Mary Dobson were born in North Carolina. All others were born in Kentucky. His real estate was valued at $720 and personal property valued at $610. (pg 497a, #142)
3. June 5, 1880 Bullitt Co KY census record shows John Dobson age 52, Elizabeth age 52, Samuel age 21, Steven age 20, Emma age 16 and Rebecca E. age 14 on their farm in Pine Tavern District 1, east of L&W Railroad. John was born in TN and the others in KY. (pg 251b, #71)
4. June 7, 1900 Jefferson Co KY census record shows Stephen Dobson age 40, Amanda age 32, John N. age 11, Ella P. age 8 & Clarence age 6 living in District 8, Louisville, Ward 9. They had been married 11 years, had 3 children, all living. His occupation is Stationary Fireman. All the children attended school. (pg 96a, #152)
5. Apr 20, 1910 Jefferson Co KY census record shows Stephen Dobson age 50, Amanda age 41, Ella age 16 & Elmer age 7 living in Schardein Precinct. They had been married 21 years, had 4 children, all living. It is noted that this was his second marriage and her first marriage. Stephen's nephew Chester Wilson age 16 & niece Mary Wilson age 9 are also living with them. His occupation is Foundry Laborer. (pg 94b, #59)

7. Jan 15, 1920 Jefferson Co KY census record shows John Dobson age 29, Roena age 28, John E. age 12mo & Roena's brother, George Price age 19, living in Schardein Precinct, District 4 on Seventh Street. Stephen is a plow factory grinder & George is an oil refinery mechanic. (pg 234b, #360)
8. Jan 15, 1920 Jefferson Co KY census record shows Stephen Dobson age 57, Amanda age 59 & Elmer age 18 living in Schardein Precinct. Stephen is a driver for Express Co & Elmer is a plow plant laborer. (pg 235a, #361)
