Samuel Wilson came to Arkansas from Tennessee. He married Elzanna Gordon and they had two sons, Finis E. and Gulley Wilson.
Finis Wilson married Mary Jane Montgomery, daughter of F.D.E. Montgomery and Mary Jane Cheynne, all of the Appleton area.
Finis and Mary Jane had five children. One died in infancy and the others were: Elloe E. Wilson; Elzanna Wilson; Tempie Wilson who died in her early teens; Joe Wilson died at age 17 years; Archie Wilson passed away in 1949 and is buried at Appleton.
Elloe E. Wilson married Stella Elizabeth Lawrence, daughter of A.D. Lawrence and Carrie Brant. Elzanna Wilson married Lester Griffin and they had two children: Coma Hazel Overby and Ernest E. Griffin, all are deceased.
Archie Wilson married Velma Brant, daughter of P.H. & Nettie Brant. Velma now lives in Richmond, California. Archie and Velma had three sons: Ray of Clinton AR; Bryce and Delton of Richmond, California.
Elloe E. and Stella had eleven children:
1. De Boyd Wilson died at age 2 years.
2. Paul Wilson is deceased and buried at Appleton. He married Barbara Ross and they had four children. Barbara and children live in Pasadena, Texas.
3. Mary Sue Wilson-Nelson is also deceased and buried at Appleton.
4. Alma Wilson married James Murel Wait and resided in California until Murels' death in 1961 and now resides on the Wilson home place on Rte 4, russellville.
5. Edna Maude Wilson, married Cotney Hardin. They reside in Clarksville, Arkansas.
6. Lester Wilson married Ann Klober and they reside in Dardanelle, Arkansas.
7. Leatha Wilson married Laverne Pennington who is now deceased. Leatha lives on Highway #124 NE of Russellville.
8. Dudley Wilson married Jean Sheets and they live in San Diego, California.
9. Lawrence Wilson married Lyda Fry and they live near Russellville.
10. Bettye Wilson married Dale Carpenter and they live on Highway #7 North of Russellville.
11. Robert Wilson married Carol Hovies and they reside in the Russellville area.
Stella Wilson is still living and will be 92 years of age Feb 15, 1981.
