Sula Reed

Lloyd and Sular settled on Uncle Harvey Southerland's old place in Pine Grove. Lloyd was a big man. He liked to tease and have fun. He had an outgoing personality and everybody liked him. He was a coon and fox hunter. Aunt Sular was a small woman. She was admired for her many fine personal qualities, for her gentleness, kindness, and concern for her friends and neighbors.
They had nine children: Ralph, Ina, John, Winona, Eugene, Mary, Byron W., Mildred, and Edwin. My Mom said, “I stayed with Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Sular a lot when their children were born and helped Aunt Sular with the babies.” She was a great mother, and Mom learned a lot from her. Aunt Sular and Uncle Lloyd were laid to rest in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Wolf Bayou. Their children were all born in Pine Grove or Wolf Bayou.
