*Fred Grover Gordon passed Aug 19, 2007. He has had Alzheimer's but was still doing pretty good. He had been in the hospital last week & needed blood. He recovered for a day and seemed to be ok but got worse again. We really believe the colon cancer had come back from 11 years ago. This time he didn't make it. God was gracious and even though it was unexpected for all of us he didn't have to suffer and took him home very fast. He had been looking for Grandma for 4 years since she had died and now he has found her and so much more. He was a wonderful Godly man of character, we would all do well to follow.

*One story I heard this week was when he returned from the war (WWII) he had walked (we are assuming from what is now Hwy 70) to his home which was a good 12 miles in the cold & rain. He stopped at a home about 5 miles before his and said he was cold and asked if he could warm up before walking on home. They knew him of course & took him in, then he made it on home. We have also realized he was some sort of specialist & Corporal in WW2. He never talked about the war so we didn't know any of this before. We have a lot of German medals that could have only come from one place. We know he was in France and I am going to try to find out more if I can but that is all I know right now.
I just wanted to let you know he has gone on to his Home in Heaven. He certainly lived a good life. He turned 86 this past Nov. 14. He was the son of John Bruce & Carrie Etta Tucker. Lindel is the last one living now. He is 81 and doing good.
