Know all men by these presents that I Francis LEE of Fairfield District in the State aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of 88 pounds sterling has granted, bargained, sold and released by these presents do grant, bargain, sell & release unto Herman DASH of Richland District in the State aforesaid all that plantation or tract of land containing two hundred & fifty acres more or less situate in said District of Fairfield in the State aforesaid bounding __ on Robt CRAIG's land, S.W. on Wm. KIRKLAND's and vacant land all other sides vacant land & hath such shape, form and marks as the above plat represents __ thereunto __ being thereunto had together with all and singular the rights __ hereditaments and appurtenances to the said __ belonging or in anywise __ or appertaining to have and to hold all and singular the __ before mentioned unto the said Herman DASH his heirs & assigns against myself, my heirs & assigns against every person whomever lawfully claiming or to claim the same __ part thereof. Witness my hand and seal this 5th day of Octr in the year of our Lord __ in the __ year of the independence of the United States of America.

I Timothy __ one of the Justices of the __ do hereby certify unto all whom it may concern that Elizabeth LEE the wife of the within named Francis LEE did this day appear before me and upon being presently and separately examined by me did declare that she does freely, voluntarily and without any compulsion, dread or fear of any person or persons whomever __ release & forever relinquish unto the within named Herman DASH, his heirs and asigns all her __ and estate and also all her right and claim of dower of __ to all and singular the premises with __ & released - given under my hand and seal the 20th day of Octr anno domini 1801.

State of South Carolina District of Richland - Personally appeared Jesse BUSBY & made oath that he was present and saw Francis LEE sign, seal and deliver the within deed to & for the uses and purposes therein mentioned to the wiithin named Herman DASH and that he saw Sterling C. WILLIAMSON together with himself subscribe in presence of each other their names as witnesses thereto.
