This indenture made the fourteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven between Frances LEE & Elizabeth his wife of Chester County and State aforesaid of the one part and John WAGERS of the State and County aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Frances & Elizabeth LEE for and in consideration of the sum of thirty pounds sterling current lawfull money of the said State to them in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents by the said John WAGERS the receipt whereof the said Frances & Elizabeth LEE do hereby acknowledge hath bargained, sold, aliened, released & confirmed & by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, release and confirm unto the said John WAGERS in his actual posession now being by virtue of a bargain & sale to him thereof made in one whole year by a indenture of lease bearing date the day next before the day of the date of these presents & ___ of the statute for transferring ___ into posession & to his heirs & assigns forever all that plantation or tract of land containing one hundred acres situate on a small branch of Little River in the State aforesaid granted to John TURNER the sixth day of February one thousand and seventy three under the hand of his excellency Lord Charles Granville Montagne then Governor & Commander-in-Chief in and over the then province now state aforesaid & hath a memorial tract of __ in __ __ __ of the said __ in __ Book FFF, page 221 __ transferred from the __ John TURNER to John LEE & given & bequeathed by the said John LEE to Frances LEE his son in his last will and testament said land bounded on all sides by vacant land at the time of the original survey Together with all and singular the rights __ & appurtenances whatsoever to the said plantation __ __ of one hundred acres of land belonging __ appertaining to the __ & __ & __ __ __ and also all the __ rights, title, interest __ __ __ profit, claims __ __ __ __ of the said Frances & Elizabeth LEE of in or to the said plantation or tract of land To have and to hold the said plantation or tract of land hereby granted and released or __ or inteded to be hereby granted & released with their __ and __ of their assigns forever and the said Frances & Elizabeth LEE for themselves their heirs, executors and administrators doth hereby covenant __ & agree to and with the said John WAGERS his heirs and assigns that the said Frances & Elizabeth LEE their heirs & every __ them the said plantation or tract of one hundred acres of land with the appurtenances unto the said John WAGERS his heirs and assigns against the said Frances & Elizabeth LEE their heirs and assigns in __ person or persons whatsoever shall and will __ __ and forever defend by these presents - In witness whereof the said Frances and Elizabeth LEE have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written.
