pg 165) This indenture made this the 31st day of March one thousand eight hundred and thirty two between William W. GORDON of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee of the first part and Daniel G. BAIRD of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and eighty dollars to him in hand paid the said Daniel G. BAIRD the receipt and payment thereof and hereby acknowledged hath given, granted, bargained and sold unto the said Daniel G. BAIRD, his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Robertson and State aforesaid and bounded as follows, viz, Beginning on a red oak standing in the West end of __ and about fifty seven poles West of a hickory it being __ Beginning the corner of a tract of land which Alexander GORDON Senr gave to the said Wm W. GORDON running West on his land eighteen poles to a stake thence South to the said Daniel BAIRD's line thence East with said line one hundred and __ poles to a stake thence North to the Beginning __ tract or parcel of land Beginning on a white oak __ Branch the Northeast corner of the said parcel of land that Andrew WASHINGTON deeded Robert B. GORDON & running ____ South of East thirty two poles to a sassafras thence __ with the said BAIRD's line eighty poles to a stake thence __ twenty seven poles to a stake in EDWARDS line thence East with his line to the Beginning both tracts or parcels of land containing in all forty eight acres be it the same more or less lying __ and to hold the same unto the said Daniel G. BAIRD, his heirs and assigns forever and I the said William W. GORDON bind myself, my heirs, executors and administrators forever warrant and defend the aforesaid tracts or parcels of land from the lawful claim of all and any person lawfully claiming the same unto the said Daniel G. pg 317) This indenture made this 27 day of May 1831 between William B. DORRIS and Goolsberry CHAMBERS both of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee witnesseth that the said William B. DORRIS for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and seventy four dollars to him in hand paid by the aforesaid Goolsberry CHAMBERS the receipt and payment I hereby acknowledged, I have given, granted, bargained and sold unto the said CHAMBERS, heirs and executors a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee and on the waters of Red River beginning at a post oak it being a corner to Elisha WILLIS and runs South 99 poles to a stkae in said WILLIS's line thence East 54 poles to a stake in said WILLIS's line thence South 72 poles to a hickory thence West 61 poles to a stake thence North 50 poels to a black oak thence West 22 poles to a black oak John ASHABRANNER's corner thence North 72 poles to a stake in said ASHABRANNER's line thence West 18 poles to a stake thence North 44 poles to a stake thence East 58 poles to the beginning said tract of land is supposed to contain forty acres be the same more or less. Now I the said William B. DORRIS, his heirs do warrant and defend the title of the above described land to the said CHAMBERS heirs to be __ lawful and in witness I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written.
