Daniel G. BAIRD from Robert B. GORDON
pg 352) This indenture made this ninth of October one thousand eight hundred twenty nine between Robert B. GORDON of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee of the first part and Daniel G. BAIRD of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand to us in hand paid by the said Daniel G. BAIRD, the receipt and payment unto the said Daniel G. BAIRD, his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Robertson and State aforesaid and bounded as follows
pg 353) beginning at a post oak the Southeast corner of the six hundred and forty acre survey granted to Martin DUNCAN and about sixty poles East of BARKER's old road running North to Jesse COBB's corner and with his line one hundred and fifty two poles to a stake thence due West to a hickory Alexander GORDON's Southeast corner thence West with his line sixty six poles to a stake and black oak pointer thence due South to a stake fifty two poles thence due West passing a black walnut in the field running two hundred and fourty poles to a dogwood and hickory and white oak pointers in CHAMBERS line thence Southwest CHAMBERS and HARTS line one hundred poles to a water oak Henry HARTS Southeast corner and is the original line of the said DUNCAN's survey thence due East with the original line two hundred and eighty poles to the beginning thence one other tract granted to Andrew WASHINGTON beginning on a post oak the Souteast corner of Martin DUNCAN's survey running South to the branch thence up the __ of the __ to a stake in ROBERTSON's line thence West with his line to a stake thence North to a black oak James ROBERTSON's Northeast corner in DUNCAN's South boundary line thence with his line to the beginning by estimation one hundred and ninety eight acres __ the same more or less to have and to hold the same unto the said Daniel G. BAIRD, his heirs and assigns forever and the said Robert B. GORDON do bind myself, my heirs, assigns, executors and administrators forever to warrant and defend the aforesaid tract or parcel of land from the lawful claim of all and every person lawfully claiming the land unto the said Daniel G. BAIRD, his heirs and assigns foerever in testimony whereof I have set may hand and affixed my seal this day and date above written in the presence of us

pg 390) This indenture made this sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred thirty between Alexander GORDON of the one part and Goolsberry CHAMBERS of the other part as witness for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and thirty six dollars sixty two and a half cents to us in hand paid by the said Goolsberry CHAMBERS, the receipt and payment is hereby
pg 391) acknowledged, hath given, granted, bargained and sold unto the said Goolberry CHAMBERS, he, his heirs and assigns forever, a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Robertson and on the waters of Red River and being a part of the tract of land where the said Alexander GORDON now lives upon and beginning on a hickory near Barker DORRIS in line running due East forty four poles to a black jack thence South __ degrees West ninety poles to a red oak thence due West fourteen poles to a red oak thence South thirty six degrees West one hundred and fifty four poles to a dogwood near the first edge of a __ thence due North one hundred and seventy four poles to Barker DORRIS line to a stake and pointers thence East with line seventy six poles to a stake and pointers thence North forty six poles to the beginning by estimation twenty eight and three fourths acres to have and to hold the same with all its woods, waters, hereditaments thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to the same to the said CHAMBERS, his heirs and assigns forever and we the aforesaid Alexander GORDON Senr and Junior doth forever warrant and defend the aforesaid tract of land from the lawful claims of all and every person lawfully claiming the same but unto the said Goolsberry CHAMBERS, his heirs and assigns forever. In testimony whereupon we do bind over, __ our heirs, executors and administrators forever to warrant and defend whereunto we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals this the day and date above written in the presence of us

This indenture from Alexander GORDON Senr and Alexander Gordon to Goolsberry CHAMBERS was proven in open Court by the oath of James DOSS & subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be certified and at May term 1831 of said Court was further proven in open Court by the oath of James __ the other subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be registered.
