pg 97) This indenture made this 24th day of September the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty two between Thomas MORGAN of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee of the one part and David WALTON of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the aforesaid Thomas MORGAN for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said David WALTON the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the said Thomas MORGAN that he is truly paid and satisfied, hath bargained and sold and confirmed and conveyed unto the said David WALTON, his heirs and assigns and executors and administrators a certain tract or parcel of land containing twenty three acres lying and being in the State and County aforesaid bound as followeth, to wit, Beginning at two post oaks the Southwest corner of said WALTON tract of land wherein he now lives and running South fifty three poles to a black oak thence West seventy six poles to a stake in PRICE's line thence North with said line to a __ East seventy six poles to the beginning, it being a part of a fifty acre survey entered by said Thomas MORGAN and granted to him by the State of Tennessee and entered in the 15th day of August 1875 and No. 15475 to have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land with everything that appurtenances thereunto belonging and thereafter Thos. MORGAN doth bind himself, his heirs and his administrators and executors, will warrant and forever defend the aforesaid land and premises unto the said David WALTON his heirs and assigns forever in witness whereof I the said Thomas MORGAN hath hereunto set my hand and afixed my seal the same day and date first above written, signed, sealed and delivered in the presents of us.
