pg 10) The State of Tennessee No. 5348, To all to whom these presents shall come, greeting: Know ye that by virtue of part of certificate No. 249 dated August 15th, 1807 obtained from the board of commissioners of for ___ Tennessee by James BYRNS and entered on the 30th day of January 1808 by No. 1309. There is granted by the said State of Tennessee unto Joseph PITTS assigns of the said James BYRNS a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres lying in Robertson County in the first district near the Goose Pond tract Beginning at a post oak marked M.G. Northwest of a spring called James HOGAN Spring ten poles and near the
pg 11) Northeast corner of Bazel BORENs old survey running West thirty eight poles to a stake in the BARRENs, thence South twenty three poles to a post oak on Bazel BORENs line, thence East forty six poles to his corner a black oak, thence South one hundred and four poles to a spanish oak, thence East one hundred and seventeen and one fourth poles to a black jack, thence North one hundred and twenty seven poles to two hickories, thence West one hundred twenty five and one fourth poles to the beginning surveyed February 2nd 1813 by H. JOHNSON.
With the hereditaments and appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Joseph PITTS and his heirs forever in witness whereof Willie BLOUNT Governor of the State of Tennessee hath hereunto set his hand and caused the great seal of the State to be affixed at Nashville on the eighth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen and of the independence of the United States, the thirty eighth.

pg 15) This indenture made this 18th day of March in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fourteen by and between Jos PITTS of the State of Tennessee and County of Robertson of the one part and Elisha WILLIS of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said PITTS for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said WILLIS the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given, granted, bargain, released and conveyed to the said WILLIS a certain tract of land lying on the South side of Red River beginning at a post oak

Northwest of a spring called James HOGANs spring ten poles and near the Northeast corner of Bazel BORENs old survey running West thirty eight poles to a stake in the BARRENs thence South twenty three poles to a post oak on Bazel BORENs line, thence East forty six poles to his corner a black oak, thence South one hundred and four poles to a spanish oak, thence East one hundred and seventeen and one fourth holes to a black jack, thence North one hundred and twenty seven poles to two hickories, thence West one hundred twenty five and one fourth poles to the beginning containing one hundred acres be the same more or less it being a tract of land granted to Jos PITTS by the State of Tennessee by patent dated February the 2nd 1813 and I the said Joseph PITTS for myself, my heirs and assigns do warrant and forever defend the aforesaid tract of land to E. WILLIS from me, my heirs or any person claiming in through or under me in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this day and date first above written.

pg 77) This indenture made the ninth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fourteen between Lewis RAGSDALE of the County of Logan & State of Kentucky of the one part and John HUEY, Enoch HUEY, Joseph HUEY, James HUEY, Morgan HUEY, Polly BRYANT, Sarah HUEY heirs and representatives of William HUEY deceased of the County of Robertson County & State of Tennessee of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred
pg 78) & twelve dollars in hand paid by the said William HUEY in his lifetime to the said Lewis RAGSDALE the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained and sold, aliened, conveyed & confirmed unto the heirs of William HUEY dec'd as above named their heirs & assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being on the middle fork of Red River on Robertson County Beginning at a black gum on the river bank thence running across the plantation a South direction to a post oak in the barrens thence a West direction to a white oak in the timber thence a South direction to the back line of the said tract thence along the said line an East course to a post oak thence South to a black jack thence East to SIGLER's line, thence North to two hickorys, thence East to a red oak thence North one hundred & forty poles to a persimmon thence down the meanders of the river to the beginning containing one hundred & forty five acres be the same more or less To have and to hold the said land and bargained premises to the said heirs of William HUEY dec'd, their heirs and assigns to their only proper use and behoof forever and the said Lewis RAGSDALE for himself his heirs, Executors & administrators doth covenant, promise and agree to and with the said heirs of Wm HUEY dec'd that the land and premises
