Alexander GORDON from William HUEY
pg 1) This indenture made this 14th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & ten between William HUEY of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee of the one part and Alexander GORDON of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said William HUEY for and in consideration of the sum of thirteen hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt and payment whereof is fully acknowledged the said William HUEY hath given, granted, bargained & sold and by these presents doth give, grant, bargain and sell unto the said Alexander GORDON his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Robertson & State of Tennessee on the waters of Red River beginning on the North side of the river at two cherry trees running South three hundred & twenty poles to a post oak thence West one hundred and sixty poles to Theophilus MORGAN's fence thence North with said fence twenty five poles to the corner thence West one hundred and sixty poles to a stake on the original line thence North two hundred and sixty poles to a stake on MOORE's line, thence East with said
pg 2) line two hundred and twenty poles to the corner, thence North twenty six poles to the line of the original survey, thence East one hundred poles to the beginning containing five hundred & eighty and (be the same more or less) To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land together with all the priviledges, benefits & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining unto him the said Alexander GORDON his heirs & assigns forever & the said William HUEY for myself my heirs, executors & administrators doth covenant, promise & agree to and with the said Alexander GORDON his heirs and assigns do warrant & forever defend the said tract or parcel of land free & clear of all incumbrances whatsoever & from the lawful claim or demand of any person or persons whatsoever claiming thereunto the said Alexander GORDON his heirs and assigns forever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day & year first above written.

pg 13) This indenture made this 10th of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten between William HUEY of the County of Robertson & State of Tennesee of the one part and Alexander GORDON of the County & State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars & seventy cents to him in hand paid by the said Alexander GORDON at or before the sealing & delivering of those presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold and delivered and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell and release, convey & confirm unto the said Alexander GORDON his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land located and being in the County of Robertson & State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars & seventy cents to him in hand paid by the said Alexander GORDON at or before the sealing & delivering of those presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold and delivered and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell and release, convey & confirm unto the said Alexander GORDON his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County of Robertson & State aforesaid on the waters of Red River containing twenty five acres more or less beginning at a maple on John HUEYs line, thence South forty eight poles to a sweet gum on McDOWELL's line, thence eighty
pg 14) three poles to a post oak JOHNSON's line, thence North forty eighty poles to ___ corner on a post oak, thence West eighty three poles to the beginning to have and to hold the above mentioned land and premises contained within the above mentioned bounds forever all priviledges, rights, appurtenances thereunto belonging and the said William HUEY & for himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever warrant and defend the above land and for ___ unto the above mentioned Alexander GORDON his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims and demands of all persons whatsoever whereby the above ___ land and premises may ___ contrary to the intent and true meaning of these ___ witness unto the said William HUEY hath set hand and affixed his seal this day and above mentioned.

pg 17) State of Tennessee - No. 31 - To all to whom these presents shall come: Greeting, Know ye that by virtue of a certificate No. 249 for 640 acres dated August 15th 1807 obtained from the board of commissioners for West Tennessee by James BYRNES and entered the third day of September 1807 there is granted by the State of Tennessee unto Bartley PITTS and James LYNN Junr. assignees of the said James BYRNES and their heirs a certain tract or parcel of land containing four hundred acres being part of said warrant lying in Robertson County
pg 18) in the first district twelfth range & first section Beginnning at Joseph McDOWELL's Northeast corner on three post oaks on the state line and running South with his line one hundred and seventy nine poles to a stake thence East three hundred and fifty poles to a black oak thence North two hundred thirty poles to a stake in the state line thence South eighty two degrees West with the state line three hundred and eighteen poles to the beginning surveyed the nineteenth day of September 1807 with the appurtenances To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with appurtenances to the said Bartley PITTS and James LYNN Junr. and their heirs forever In witness whereof John SEVIER, Governor of the State of Tennessee hath hereunto set his hand and caused the great seal of the State to be affixed at Knoxville on the thirteenth of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight and of the independece of the United States the thirty second

pg 31) This indenture made this fifteenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and ten between Alexander GORDON of the State of Tennessee & County of Robertson of the one part and Jno TRABAUGH of the State & County aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that for and in the consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said John TRAUBAUGH his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the State and County aforesaid bound as follows, Beginning on the West side of the Spring on three hornbean saplings and ash running West sixty two poles to a black oak and hickory bush, thence North eighty eight poles
pg 32) to a poplar and two small hickory's on the State line, thence East with the State line sixty two poles to two white oaks, thence Southwardly to the beginning so as to include the West sprout of the Spring containing thirty four acres be the same more or less being part of a tract of land granted to Lewis BARKER by the State of North Carolina which land ghirty four acres be the same more or less I the said Alexr GORDON my heirs & will at all times hereafter warrant and forever defend the said land and premises against all and every claim whatever unto the said John TRAUBAUGH his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns forever to have & to hold the said land and presents with all rents, issues and profits arising thereon from to use, occupy and enjoy the same in ___ possession him, his heirs & forever against all and every other claim that may be set in the

pg 229) Know all men by these presents that we William RAGSDALE Senr and Mary ISBELL of Robertson County and State of Tennessee have entered into the following contract (to wit) that I William RAGSDALE Senr of Logan
pg 230) County and State aforesaid have agreed and do hereby agree that the said Mary ISBELL of Robertson County and State of Tennessee may and shall forever hereafter have a right to dispose of all and singular the property she now possesses in any way she may see fit provided she and myself enter into a marriage contract or in other words the real or personal estate of said Mary ISBELL to be after marriage as completely at her own disposal as it is now and the said Mary ISBELL doth hereby agree with him the said William RAGSDALE that she will not by vesture of said marriage claim by vesture thee of any part or parcel of the estate of said Wm RAGSDALE wither real or personal but that we severally and jointly agree that we do hereby relinquish all right to the or interest on the property or estate of each other given under our hands and seals this 4th day of Febr 1812.
