No. 430 George KING, dec'd to A. GROW
pg 552) This indenture made and entered into between George KING and Sarah his wife of Logan County and State of Kentucky of the first part and Annarias GROW of the County & State aforesaid of the second part witnesseth that the said KING & wife hath for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and thirty dollars to them in hand paid by the said GROW the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presents doth bargain, sell and convey unto the said GROW a certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County and State aforesaid on the South fork of Red River containing thirteen acres and bounded as followeth, to wit, Beginning at three white oaks the second corner of David TRAUBAUGH's his survey running thence with Thomas A. __ line S. 40 poles to a hickory corner to said DRANE, thence with his line 53 poles to an ash and gum, thence N. 40 poles to a poplar and gum, thence to 52 poles to the Beginning to have and to hold the said described premises with all and every of the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said GROW, his heirs & assigns forever and the said KING & wife further covenant with the said GROW that they will now warrant and forever defend the right and title of the before mentioned premises __

pg 553) GROW, his heirs & free from the claim of them the said KING & wife and free from the claim of all and every person or persons whatever. In testimony whereof the said KING & wife hath hereunto set their names & affixed their seals on the 26th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hudnred and thirty.

State of Kentucky Logan County
We, Jno PROCTER and Thomas W. TOWNSEND, Justices of the Peace of said County, do hereby certify that George KING and Sarah his wife parties to the within deed personally appeared before us and subscribed and acknowledged the same to be their act and deed. We having previously examined the said Sarah apart from her husband and she with her own free will consented, relinquish her right of dower in the said land and desire us to certify the said acknowledgment to the Clerk of the Logan County Court in order that the said deed may be recorded. Given under our hands & seals this 26th day of October 1839.

Logan County - I, Marmaduke B. MORTON, as Clerk of the said Logan County Court do hereby certify that this deed from George KING & Sarah his wife to Annarias GROW now on the 28th day of Oct 1839 prven before me in my office by the oaths of Thomas TOWNSEND to be the act and deed of said George KING and on this day the same was proven by the oath of John PROCTER to be the act & deed of said George KING thereupon the same together with the certificate therein and this certificate hath been duly admitted to record in my office. given under my hand this 24th day of February 1840.
