Alexander GORDON to John TRAUBOUGH
pg 234) This indenture made this fifteenth day of November one thousand eight hundred & ten between Alexander GORDON of the State of Tennessee & County of Robertson of the one part and John TRAUBOUGH of the State & County aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of nine hundred dollars in hand paid have bargained, sold, conveyed and confirmed & by these presents doth bargain, sell convey & confirm unto the Jno TRAUBAUGH his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the State of Kentucky & County of Logan containing two hundred acres be the same more or less butted & bounded as follows, to wit, Beginning on a black oak in the State line running North 10 degrees West one hundred & eighty poles to a black oak & two post oaks thence North 81 degrees East one hundred & eighty poles to a black oak thence South 11 degrees East one hundred & eighty poles to a black oak thence South 81 degrees West one hundred & eighty five poles to the Beginning containing two hundred acres be the same more or less being a tract of land patented to Thomas BARKER grant bearing date the thirteenth day of August 1797 and conveyed by Thomas BARKER unto Alexander GORDON and from Alexander GORDON to John TRAUBAUGH & as for me the said Alexander GORDON, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns will at all times hereafter warrant and forever defend the title of said land & premises unto said John TRAUBOUGH, his heirs and assigns against all and every claim whatever to have and to hold the said land and premises with all and every rights and privileges thereunto belonging with all rents, issues and profits __ therefrom free from all incumbrances whatever unto him the said Jno. TRAUBOUGH, his heirs & forever in peaceable possession against all and every person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day & date first above written.
