pg 5) Know all men that I David KING Executor of George KING deceased in consideration of four thousand five hundred & ninety four 75/100 ($4594.75) dollars to him paid has sold and by these presents doth convey and George A. KING, his heirs and assigns the following described __ estate, to wit, the following tract lying & being in Logan County Kentucky & more particularly described as follows, to wit, Beginning at a rock corner to COOK, thence E. 144 poles to a stake on TRAUGHBER's line, thence with his line W. 16 W. 45 poles to a rock S. corner to BABB, thence with his line N. 45 W. 91 poles to a forked hickory corner to BABB, thence W. 80 E. 60 poles to a black oak corner to said BABB, thence W. 10 W. 42 poles to a hickory, thence N. 82 W. 72 poles to a post oak, thence S. 40 W. 131 poles to a rock, thence W. 82 E. 22 poles to a stump, thence S. 11 E. 78 poles to the beginning containing one hundred & twenty four acres & twenty eight poles together with the privileges and appurtenances to the same beloning to have and to hold unto the said grantee, his heirs and assigns forever and the said grantor hereby covenants with the said grantee, his heirs and assigns that he as Executor is seized of an estate in fee simple in said premises: that his said title thereto is unencumbered and that he as Executor will warrant and defend the same against all claims whatsoever. The grantor reserved a lien upon said premises to serve payment of two notes of even date herewith, one due six months after date & the other due twelve months after date given by said George A. KING to said David KING Executor in payment for this land & each of said notes for the sum of fifteen hundred & thirty one 58/100 (1531.58) dollars part of the purchase money. Witness the hand of the grantor this 26th day of March 1866

I, J W WINLOCK Clerk of the County Court of the County aforesaid do certify that this instrument of writing from David KING Executor of George KING deceased to Geo. A. KING was on the 29th day of March 1866 produced to me in my office by the grantor __ as required by law and acknowledged by him to be his act and deed: that on the same day of March 1866 said deed was lodged in my office for record and together with this certificate has been duly recorded in said office given under my hand this 2nd day of Feb 1867.
