I Malona P. GORDON late Malona P. LAWRANCE of hereby appoint Quintus L. GORDON my true and lawful attorney for the purpose of selling and conveying all my right and title, interest that I may have or hereafter have in any lands lying in Logan County State of Kentucky and I do hereby further empower him the said Quintus L. GORDON to make any bargainer or trades in and about my interest in lands sign and execute, seal, stamp and deliver deeds for that purpose in my name and to do and perform all and every act that I myself might do in and about the selling and conveying said land and further I hereby ratify any and all acts that the said Quintus L. GORDON my attorney may do in the premises.

GORDON appeared before me this day in person and acknowledged that she signed, sealed and delivered the foregoing power of attorney for the uses and purposes therein expressed. No. 174 Malona & Quintus GORDON to A.W. PITT

pg 157) This indenture made and entered into on the 17th day of October 1866 between Malona P. GORDON late Malona P. LAWRANCE of the County of Saline, State of Illinois by her attorney Q.L. GORDON of the first part and A.W. PITT of the second part of Logan County KY witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars cash in hand paid by said PITT the party of the 1st part has this bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain, sell and convey to said PITT her undivided interest on a certain tract or parcel of land in Logan County Kentucky on the waters of Red River being a tract of land conveyed by the mother of said Malona to her, said land bounded by lands of E.J. __, Alford BAKER, Robt MURRAH, Tom BAKER, Tom CONN and Dr H. CONNER. The interest conveyed being one sixth of said tract of land to have and to hold said land or the undivided interest therein to said PITT his heirs & forever and the said party of 1st part will forever warrant and defend the title to the same to said A.W. PITT his heirs and assigns. In witness whereof witness the name and seal of the grandtor the day and date above written.

Logan County - I Jo W. WINLOCK Clerk of the Logan County Court do certify that this deed of conveyance from Malona P. GORDON by her Atty to A.W. PITT was on the 17th day of October 1866 produced to me in my office and acknowledged by said Quintus L. GORDON Atty to be his act and deed whereupon the same witness this certificate has been duly admitted to record in my office the same having been stamped at required by Act of Congress. Given under my hand this 18th day of Oct 1866.
