Louis D. WILSON & Jesse BLACKFON to John MORGAN
pg 237) This indenture made and entered into on this 24th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty between Louis D. WILSON of Edgecomb County and State of North Carolina and Jesse BLACKFON of the City, County and State of New York of the one part and John MORGAN of Carroll County and State of Tennessee of the other part, witnesseth that for and in consideration of three hundred and forty two dollars unto them the said Louis D. WILSON & Jesse BLACKFON, in hand paid by said John MORGAN the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, therefore they, said WILSON & BLACKFON hath given, granted, bargained and sold and doth by these presents give, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto said MORGAN and his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred and twenty eight acres situated in said Carroll County, twelfth surveyors district, range three, section one on the waters of Rutherford's fork of Obion River, it being the whole of entry number 1286 made in the name of Amos LEWIS and granted to John E. McLEMORE & Louis D. WILSON by grant No. 752 dated 6th September 1827 and is bounded as follow (to wit) Beginning
pg 238) on a stake with a sweet gum, poplar & two chestnuts pointers standing one mile West and three hundred and thirty poles North of the Southeast corner of said section running thence West crossing Rutherford's fork at one hundred and seventy one poles, runs to the right six poles to the same, runs to the left at the mouth of a branch six poles to said branch, runs to the left __ a bend of Rutherford's fork at two hundred and one poles, runs down said fork eight poles to the same branch, in all two hundred and twenty eight poles to an ash and sugar tree __ __ then with pointers near the bank of said fork thence North crossing said fork at seven poles runs to the right, crossing the same at twenty poles, runs to the left in all one hundred and sixty poles to a hickory with pointers thence East (cross a branch at one hundred & fifty six poles, runs to the right) in all two hundred and twenty eight poles to a small poplar with pointers, thence South crossing several drains, running to the right, one hundred and sixty poles to the beginning to have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land and bargained premises with all its rights, priviledges and improvements unto the said John MORGAN and his heirs and assigns forever and the said Lewis D. WILSON & Jesse BLACKFON do covenant and agree to and with said John MORGAN that the right and title in and to the tract of land and bargained premises aforesaid they now do and will forever hereafter warrant and forever defend unto him said John MORGAN and his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whomsoever claiming by through or under them or their heirs or assigns or any other person or persons whomsoever in witness whereof they have hereunto set their hands and seals on the day and year above named.

Jacob SHAVER to W.B. SHAVER
pg 403) Know all men by these presents that I Jacob SHAVER of Carroll County and State of Tennessee for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and seventy five dollars to me paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, I have sold and by these presents do sell and convey unto W.B. SHAVER of Carroll County and State aforesaid a certain tract or parcel of land being and lying on the Obion River in the County aforesaid being designated as the Mill tract granted to the said Jacob SHAVER for forty one acres and a half bounded as follows, Beginning on a sugar tree and dead ash with pointers the Southwest corner of Entry No. 1286 for two hundred & 28 acres in the name of Amos LEWIS on the North
pg 404) boundary of occupant Entry No. 1340 and runs West crossing Rutherford's fork of Obion River at 2 poles, runs to the right in all to a stake 30 poles to a stake 2 white oaks & a small sweet gum pointers, thence South 18 1/2 poles to a stake dogwood & beach & hickory pointer thence West 31 poles to a white oak with pointers thence North crossing a branch at 108 poles runs to the right in all 116 poles to a large white oak with pointers thence East crossing Rutherford's fork at 6 poles, runs to the left in all 62 poles to a small post oak bush __ white oak & black oak & beach pointers thence South 95 poles to the Beginning to have and to hold the above described tract of land and all the rights, priviledges to the same against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever I the said Jacob SHAVER for myself my heirs and assigns do covenant and agree to defend and warrant the same to the said W.B. SHAVER, his heirs and assigns forever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 27th day of August 1849.
