The Madison County TN chancery court record dated 1906 reveals a lawsuit initiated by Minnie Rutherford-Hicks against her father Robert M. Rutherford. Minnie requested that her father be removed from the land so it could be sold & for 20 years back rent on the land. This land was originally willed to Minnie's mother, Mary Elizabeth Gordon-Rutherford. Documents included in the lawsuit are deeds, will, inventory & other probate records of W.W. Gordon.

James H. Moss - husband of Emily T. Gordon (dau of W.W. Gordon).
Robert M. Rutherford - husband of Mary Elizabeth Gordon "Eliza" (dau of W.W. Gordon).
William & Alfred Morgan - sons of William Morgan & Mary Gordon. Mary is the sister of W.W. Gordon.
J.T. Amis - married to Susan T. Noell. She is the daughter of Thomas A. Noell & Sophia Morgan.
