The new Mt. Zion Baptist Church is located 2.6 miles from original site on Highway 87.
There is a weatherproof box just inside the gate & the History/Directory
is inside the box in a notebook which is screw fastened to the box. The pages are
laminated. Omer Reed (1905-1987) organized families in the area to clean up the cemetery and
is still well cared for today. The Reed's are the first gravestones on the right as you enter thru the gate.
