A Bit About Me

Not exactly " My Space " but a few details here for anyone that is interested...
Born 06 March, 1954 in Chorley Hospital, Lancashire. Married Ruth Knee in 1977 and have a son Gary.

I was employed by British Coal as a Method Study Engineer working out of Anderton House, Lowton and later Point of Ayr Colliery, Wales untill 1988.

Divorced and later married Moreen McDonnell (nee McCormack) on the 22 November 1982.

We moved to Spain in 1988, where I worked in Benidorm and Canary Isles as a musician, Moreen my wife as a singer, and are currently semi- retired in Tenerife. We recently celebrated 25 years of marriage. More photos are shown on a scrapbook page above where you will see my hobbies of computers and music.

My Parents are Gerard Whitmore (b.1924) and Edna Glover (b1930).

Childhood

My childhood years 1954 - 1969 were in Almond Brook Road, Standish and here are a couple of sights that I remember well.

The three rendered cats in the blocked out windows are reminders of the days of the catholic persecution, a ( pot ?) cat was placed in the window to secretly let catholics know that mass was being said there. My primary school, St. Maries was directly across the road. School dinners at the time cost 5 shillings per week.
