Jane Cadman 70 (b. abt 1771), a pauper, George 45, John 19, Martha 12, and George 10.

It was most likely that Thomas and George Cadman were indeed brothers and that Jane was their mother, a pauper living with her son George. As it was also common to name a child after the parents, it is noted that Thomas had a daughter called Jane (after his mothers ? name)

Marriage of Mary Cadman

Mary Cadman married Noah Vaughan in 1844 and by 1851 had moved to Tipton

"There was a preponderance of residual 18th- and 19th-century squatter, barrack, and speculative buildings. In 1896 the sanitary inspector was able to note that there was still overcrowding in the area, but that it was no longer of the former 'gross' kind with adults 'lodged promiscuously' together."
