Lelant
is situated at the estuary of the Hayle River, 3 miles from St Ives
and was once an important market and port for the area. It's 15th
century Church, St Uny, is dedicated to the Irish saint of that name.
The purpose of this site is to make available information about
Lelant for the benefit of those with family history interests in the
parish.
I'm always interested in adding new material to the site.
Perhaps you've visited Lelant and have a photograph or comments you'd
like to contribute, or you live or once lived in Lelant and have
memories that would help bring the village alive for remote visitors
to the site.
If you have anything whatsoever that you consider appropriate to
add to the site please contact me.
