Finding that my bodily health and strength are both failing; and being disirans to make Some arrangements as regards my temporal concerns; I this proceed by wishing that after my death body be decently buried.
Item 1st. It is my will and desire that my beloved wife have the land and plantation whereon I now live together with treo negroes viz- William, a woman Fanny, and her child John. and all my stock of cattle and hogs one grey mare and one sorrel horse and all my plantation tools and household and Kitchen furniture all of which it is my desire she shall have and use as her own and enjoyment all the profits and advantages arising there from so lond as she shall live and after her death it is further my will and desire that all thoss articles of property herin named shall be equally divided among my children share and share alike-
Item 2nd I also will unto my beloved son Nathan G. two horses and two hundred dollars all of which he has already received.
Item 3rd I also will unto my beloved Son Joseph B.- one bay horse saddle and bridle and two hundred dollars all of which he has already received-
Item 4t I will and bequeath unto my beloved Son George W. one bay horse Sadle and bridle, one negro boy Travis and fifty dollars in money –
Item 5. It is my will that my son Benjamin G. shall have one certain young mare; one negro boy Levi and Seventy five dollars in money.
Item 6th. It is my will that my beloved daughter Margaret J. Stephens – Shall have one bay mare, sadle and bridle one bead, beadstead and furinture, and Seventy one dollars all of which she has recd- and further it is my desire that my grand daughter Elizabeth Mary Stephens shall have our small negro girl child Ann.
Item & It is my desire that my daughter Mary F. shall have one negro girl Edney and one small negro boy child- named Andrew and one bed, bead Stead and furniture and in order that this my last will may be executed I wish my beloved wife to be my executrix and my friend Henry B. Todd my executor April 18th 1835

Personally appeard John N. Kelly one of the subscribing Witnesses to the last will & testament of Nathan Christie decd who being duly sworn deposeth & sayeth that he was present & did see the Testator sign and acknowledge the same to be & contain the last will and Testament and that he was of sound and disposing mind & memory to the best of his knowledge & belief and that I.C. Francis and Jordon R. Smith together with this deponent did subscribe the same as witnesses therto in the presence of the Testator & in Each others presence Sworn to in open court
