George Elliott and Carrie B. McNeff Farmer
George Elliott Farmer, the tenth child of George and Lydia Farmer, was born
in 1870 in Indiana.
He married Carrie B. McNeff, born August 23, 1874, on
November 29, 1896 in Morgan County, Indiana.
The couple had two children:
William Esta "Esta", born 1897 in Indiana, died June 1925,
buried at the Mooresville Cemetery (Section 8N), Morgan County, Indiana.

"Mrs. Farmer of Mooresville dies
Mrs. Carrie B. Farmer of 220 South Madison Street died at her home
in Mooresville Friday.
She was born
Aug. 23, 1874, in the White Lick Neighborhood, the daughter of Pierce
and Mary Martin McNeff. She was
married to George Farmer, who died in 1931.
Mrs. Farmer had lived in Mooresville for 34 years and was a member of the Mooresville Methodist Church.
Survivors are a son Paul of Mooresville; two grandchildren,
Bob Farmer of Mooresville, and Mrs. Helen Hoyt of Greenfield, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the
Carlisle
and Son Chapel with burial in the
Mooresville
Cemetery.
The Rev. Donald Endsley will be in charge of the service.
Friends may call at the funeral home at any time."

"Funeral of Esta Farmer
A very large company of relatives and sympathizing friends
assembled at the M. E. church last Thursday morning for the funeral services of
Esta Farmer, which were held at 10
o’clock. The invocation
was made by Rev. D. W. Jesse, a quartet composed of Mrs. A. H. Keller, Rev. B.
B. Shake, Mrs. Cheslie Thompson and C. B. Comer, with Mrs. E. F. Harvey at the
piano, sang the hymns. His
physician, Dr. W. L. Thompson, prepared the tribute which was read by Robert
Nelson. Rev. E. J. Jewett of
Franklin, a former pastor, preached the funeral sermon.
The floral offerings freighted with their consoling messages for the
bereaved ones and expressing the high esteem in which the deceased was held,
were carried by Mesdames Ed Nelson, E. N. Milhon, H. R. Kitchen, Wm Dorman,
Alfred McCarty, J. N. Morgan, Lena Wilson, Clyde Harvey, Misses Virginia and
Truth Wakeman and Charlotte House.
He was borne to his last resting place in the Mooresville cemetery by Glover
Nelson, Harry Smith, C. A. Holaday, Gary Jones, Howard Lindley and Milford
Carlisle, where the Masonic order, of which he was a member, serving officially
in it for a number of years, gave their beautiful and impressive service.
Mrs. E. T. Albertson and James Davis, of Indianapolis and John Farmer of Roachdale
attended the funeral.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Farmer, and
one brother, Paul Farmer, all residing here."
