About

This page gives a summary of where my family tree can be found on the internet. Please note that all my trees on the internet hide details of people considered to be "living" (i.e. born since 1930). To obtain details of "living" people, please contact me to request information.

Tree

Rootsweb

The primary site for my family tree is on Rootsweb WorldConnect. I update the database on Rootsweb about every 2-4 months when new information on people and events has been collected. Changes made to the GEDCOM file on Rootsweb can be seen on the Database Changes page.

RootsWeb is the Internet's oldest and largest FREE genealogical community. It is hosted by ancestry.com, so my tree can also be accessed from this site too.

Genes Reunited

An old version of my tree from 2007 is on Genes Reunited. I have not updated because changing the GEDCOM removes links to emails etc. However, having the tree on this site has resulted in many useful contacts and information exchanges.

Family trees on Genes Reunited can be searched, but contact with the owners to obtain details requires a subscription.

myHeritage

A small part of my family tree was added to the myHeritage site in September 2010 (209 individuals). As I have a free membership for this site, the tree is limited to 250 individuals. My tree on this site will not be updated unless I obtain a subscription.

FamNet

FamNet is an on-line Family History Network for those with a New Zealand connection! It has a major collection of NZ and Australian family trees, many with attached scrapbook information.

There is a copy of my family tree on FamNet, uploaded March 2011. This replaces two trees on the site from 2007 and 2008.
