Abandoned House Marker
455 Harris Lane

My child was out taking pictures and stumbled upon this marker located behind an abandoned house at the base of a barn type structure. I looked around and it was the only marker I could see and as you can see it's an official, most recent militart issued marker. I am not sure if the person is actually buried here or if the marker was placed here. There is no record of him in the SSDI. If anyone has information about this gentleman please send me an email and let me know what you know so I can add it..Send email to CHPP08 UPDATE: 4/19/08 According to Ancestry website, I found this military service record:

UPDATE: 4/27/08 I contacted White House Memorial Gardens and they were not aware that the marker was behind this house and that this gentleman was still in an unmarked grave, 10 years later. The owner of the cemetery was going to try and contact some family members but the last I heard he was not able to locate any of them. I will call them again in about a month and see if the marker was retrieved. I hope someone goes and gets the marker before it is lost. Please note that all images are Copyright ©2008
